Personal records fall for all the Lions at JennaSrong Invitational

On Friday, October 12, 2018 the MSJ Cross Country team competed in the JENNASTRONG Fall Classic at Wilmington College.  The course is mostly flat and winds through the campus, creeks, an arboretum, pastures, a farm, and through the woods.

Both teams had a spectacular day of competition with every single Lion achieving a season PR (personal record) as well as a few getting their collegiate personal best.  During the women's 5K race, Lions Senior, Maria Waters, led the women's team with a time of 20:01 followed by Senior Julia Cason with a time of 22:47.  In the men's 8K race, Lion's Sophomore, Luke Danis, led the men's team with a time of 27:48 followed by Sophomore Matt Bruner with a time of 29:23.

The MSJ Lions Women's team finished 29th out of 35 teams in the Women's 5K and the MSJ Lions Men's team finished 28th out of 36 teams in the Men's 8K.

Our next competition venue will be at Asbury University in Wilmore, KY on Saturday, October 20th.  The women will race a 5K at 11am and the men will race an 8K at 11:45am.
