LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Mount St. Joseph women's lacrosse team traveled to Transylvania University to take on the Pioneers in the Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference tournament semifinals on Wednesday night. The Mount fought through injury but ended up losing to Transylvania with the final score of 25-0.
The Lions finish their season being shut out in the first HCLC conference tournament. The Pioneers snagged 14 goals in the first half and added 11 more throughout the second half.
At the end of the season the Lions were able to have a player grab a spot in a statistical standing. Megan Dancer (Springboro, Ohio/Springboro) had an outstanding freshman season as she was able to land sixth in conference for goals this season with 43, in addition to breaking a team record og most goals in a single game with 10.
