LOCATION: The Mitchell Center (Granville, Ohio)
The Lions competed against Ohio Northern in a hard fought matchup as they came up short to lose 69 to 46. The Saturday game against Otterbein was also well played, but the Lions continued to struggle and lost 69 to 43.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The action for the Lions started off with a challenging matchup against Ohio Northern. The Lions were able to start of strong and set the tone by outscoring their opponents 11 to 6. The game continued to stay competitive as Ohio Northern was able to tie the game up at 25 going into halftime. The second half was where Ohio Northern began to pull away outscoring the Lions 44 to 21 in the second half to come out with the win. The final score was 69 to 46.
The second game for the Lions was against Otterbein University. The game started off tough for the Lions as Otterbein was able to take the lead at the end of the first quarter 24 to 8. After being down by such a large deficit starting off, it was hard for the Lions to fight their way back into the game. The Lions weren't able to come back from the early lead by Otterbein and lost the game 69 to 43.
The Mount St. Joseph Lions will host Centre in the Harrington Center Gym on Saturday 11/26 as they look to get their first win of the season.
