Neal played college soccer at Carnegie Mellon University where he was a four-year starter and 3-year team captain. He then served as men's Varsity assistant coach while completing a double major in Chemical Engineering and Engineering and Public Policy. Since then, he has coached Club and high school soccer for Kings Hammer Academy, Northern Kentucky Soccer Academy and Highlands High School (Fort Thomas, KY). He also serves on the board of directors for Campbell County Youth Soccer where he is Director of Coaching. Neal holds USSFC and National Youth Licenses and has been an active member of the Coach Education staff for the Kentucky Youth Soccer Association for many years. He is a graduate of NKU's Chase College of Law, and has a private law practice in environmental law. Neal is married and has one son at NKU and another at University of Louisville.
