The Mount Women's Basketball Team Picked to Finish 6th in HCAC

The Mount St. Joseph women's basketball team has been slated to finish 6th in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference by coaches in a pre-season poll.  Last season the Lions finished the season with a record of 10-16 which led them to a 6th place finish in the conference with a 6-12 record. The Lions are looking to make it further in the season and make a run in conference tournament this season.  

The Lions that are the players to watch this season are seniors Lainee Studer (Pleasant Plain, OH / Little Miami) and Hayley Hudson (Ross, OH / Ross), as well as sophomores Maddie Haberthy (Cincinnati, OH / Mother of Mercy) and Alehia Tucker (Covington, KY / Holy Cross). These four along with the other five returners hope to lead the five new Lions to a successful season under the helm of Dan Benjamin, coming back for his 7th season at the Mount. The Lions are ready to get their season underway on Saturday, November 10th at Hiram College (Hiram, OH). Of course followed by the Lauren Hill Tip Off Classic at the Cintas Center on November 17th at 5 PM against Cincinnati-Clermont.
