Lions continue to break school records at DePauw University Invitational

GREENCASTLE, Indiana – The Mount St. Joseph University track & field team traveled to DePauw University for the second time in two weeks. The Lions continued their strong play these weekend by setting multiple school and personal records enroute to a 10th place finish on the men's side and a 6th place finish on the women's side.

On the men's side the quad of Drew Stark (Cincinnati, OH / Roger Bacon), Tre'on Taylor (Orlando, FL / Winter Park), Isaiah Hale (Crestwood, Ky / Oldham County), and Cameron Willis (Cincinnati, OH / LaSalle) finished 3rd in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:39.14. Stark also competed in the 60M hurdles and earned 4th place with a time of 8.99. Arvonte Neal (Florence, Ariz. / Florence) continued his success in the long jump, this time registering 6.18M for a 2nd place finish. Willis earned 3rd place in the high jump for a 1.88M jump to close out the weekend.

The women's have been on fire lately and set three more school records. Starting with Anna Schoster (Cincinnati, OH / Seton) leading the charge with a 1st place finish in the 60M hurdles for the record and another first place finish in the pole vault. Kiersten Lux (Waldron, IN / Waldron) earned 4th place in the shot put for her record breaking performance with a distance of 10.82M. Emma Roth (Cincinnati, OH / Lakota West) in the 800M dash with a time of 2:27.39, which was good for 2nd place. Andi Meyer (Ft. Loramie, OH / Ft. Loramie) did well in the pole vault and high jump, placing 4th and 3rd, respectively.

The Lions will continue their strong play Saturday, February 16th at Defiance College for the HCAC Indoor Track and Field Championship starting at 1:00PM. Be sure to check MSJSports.com for updates on the Lions 2019 season!
