CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Mount St. Joseph University is proud to announce that fifth year senior A.J. Glines (Harrison, Ohio/Harrison) has been named to the NCAA DIII Google Cloud/CoSIDA All-District team, which was announced on Thursday
Glines will advance to the NCAA Division III Academic All-America ballot, with the national team scheduled for release on Wednesday December 12. Both the District and National teams are determined by a vote of NCAA Division III sports information personnel from across the nation and combines both academic and athletic accomplishments.
One the field A.J. was a standout for the Lions garnering first team All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference honors. Which was recognition for a season in which he set the MSJ single season record for receptions with 76. He also set the single game records for both receptions and yards in the Lions 54-35 victory over Rose-Hulman in week three. Those totals were 14 and 268 respectively. For the season A.J. pulled in 76 receptions for 1074 yards and 14 touchdowns, which was good for ninth most in Division III.
Glines has been a leader on the field and in the classroom for the Lions during his tenure in Delhi. He carries a 3.76 GPA while being a student in The Mount's Doctorate of Physical Therapy program.
The Mount St. Joseph football team finished the 2018 season with a record of 8-2 and claimed a share of the HCAC Championship. This was the fifth time in program history that the Lions can call themselves champions.
